CFC Marches in the Parade! July 5, 2007
The Cummington Family Center invited all Hilltown Families to march in the Chesterfield 60th Annual 4th of July Parade. The CFC marched with the Hilltown Coalition to End Domestic Violence.

Hi families,
Come join us to march in Chesterfield’s 4th of July parade this year! We’ll be gathering at 9:45 on south street in Chesterfield in parade Section 3, and marching with the Hilltown Coalition to End Domestic Violence. Parking for parade participants is in the field on Bryant street in Chesterfield
Bring your strollers, backpacks and wagons decorated and ready for fun!

Spring Equinox bagel breakfast March 21, 2007
Many thanks to Lex + Lena who hosted a very fun and delicious bagel breakfast at their sunny home this past sunday, March 18th.
Despite the huge snow banks outside, families gathered to welcome SPRING! and enjoyed good food, friendship and lots of room to play.

Childbirth Education Class (03/03/07) February 8, 2007
CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASS TO BE OFFERED
- The Hilltown Community Health Centers will be offering a one-day intensive childbirth education class.
- Date: Saturday March 3, 2007
- Time: 9:30 to 3:30.
- Where: The location of the class will be determined by convenience of the participants.
- Workshop Description: Ann Buscemi, certified childbirth educator, will talk about what to expect in labor and delivery and will teach breathing and relaxation techniques, childbirth options and how to cope with a cesarean birth. Follow-up sessions will be scheduled as needed.
- Registration is required.

- This free class is funded by the Hampshire County Family Network, a program of the Hampshire Educational Collaborative, with funding from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
Scarecrows and the Lion November 5, 2006
Trick-or-treating down main street in Ashfield … you couldn’t ask for a more quaint experience. It was great fun to run into a variety of different CFC families dressed-up and being silly.

Playgroup Open House October 14, 2006
It’s Baaaaaack! Playgroup is here again, and what a lot of fun it is this year. Open House was held Friday, October 6 at the Cummington Community House. Tasty treats were donated by CFC Members Geri and Mark Pollard of Bread Euphoria (oh so delicious..Thanks!). Delicious quiche was baked by The Old Creamery.
