A visit to Summit Farm brought us many, many raspberries. This is the week to pick them! By the end of the week, the blueberries will be ready too. We’re going back in a few days to pick more for jam. Where’s your favorite place to pick berries and what do you do with them?

What about the library? It’s FREE! Yes, free. Your local library is an amazing resource. Not only can you check books out (that’s right, for free), but you can rent movies, go on-line, visit for a story hour, check out local artists work on display, peruse the community board, sit down and read the paper. We visit the Meekin’s Library in Williamsburg. It has a kid’s room with books and a few toys in it. We love books. We read many, many books. And when we need a bookshelf of new books, we just visit the library. I also love that I can order a book from another library in the network, and when it arrives at my local library, they notify me via email and I can go in and pick it up! Did you know that you can also sign out free passes to museums from our local libraries here in Western Mass?
Check out the Meekin’s Events.

What a great way to show your kids the world. Click see a new picture from somewhere else, that you may have been or have always wanted to visit. Read the story, then learn about a distant, or not so distant place and people. (via Design Mom)
A CFC member sent this in: A great interactive website for kids, mine loves it. Check it out!
Go ahead, check it out. It’s fun for adults too. It’s a really well done Flash site. Full of exploring, and updated regularly with new things to discover, Poisson Rouge (Red Fish), will delight all ages. (Help keep it free - buy a t-shirt or download one of their games to your very own computer). Enjoy!
Expecting a new addition?
